The objective is to analyze knowledge management (KM) in Latin American public entities taking into consideration the evidence collected in the time span between 2016 and 2022. The study constitutes a systematic review complying with the guidelines established by the PRISMA method, as a result of this process, a total of (57) articles were collected, of which only (13) met the objectives established in the framework of this research. Despite progress in the implementation of QA in the region, there are common challenges that limit its full development. The lack of tangible organizational memory, the lack of a collaborative culture, and limited access to appropriate technologies and tools are major obstacles to efficient knowledge management. These challenges require careful attention to promote wider and more effective adoption of KM in public entities.
