Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the relevance of environmental education in the formation of better citizens willing to contribute to the care and protection of the environment. A prismatic statement design was adopted, which facilitates the planning and verification of the selection criteria. The concept of environmental education continues to change with the advancement of time, needs and research. 37.5% mentioned that they are processes that should be developed permanently to develop competencies, values and appropriate behaviors in educational institutions. 62.5% added that environmental issues should be transversal and developed on the basis of educational projects and plans.
