The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of the Problem-Based Learning program on the development of critical thinking in fourth grade high school students, 2023. The methodology was quantitative and the design was quasi-experimental. The sample consisted of 50 students from the experimental group and 42 from the control group, both evaluated by means of pre- and post-tests. The survey was used as a technique and the questionnaire as an instrument, which was validated through expert judgment. The value of Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.9047, demonstrating its reliability. The results indicated that the Kruskal Wallis test value (14.781) was greater than the Z value (1.645) and the Sig. value was 0.000 (less than 0.05). Therefore, it was concluded that the application of the PBL program significantly influenced the critical thinking of fourth grade high school students.
