The general objective of this research was to analyze the influence of social skills on the institutional climate in education teachers. The work was developed under a quantitative, non-experimental approach and a causal correlational design. In addition, documentary sources and peer-reviewed works related to the central aspects of the study, such as social skills and institutional climate, were reviewed and analyzed. As a result, it was found that social skills influenced the institutional climate of teachers; therefore, it was concluded that by developing skills of self-regulation of emotions, assertive communication and conflict resolution, a favorable environment may be fostered in order to contribute both to the comprehensive training of teachers and to their optimal performance.
