Abstract

PEREDA-LOYOLA, Rolando Alexis  and  DURAN-LLARO, Kony Luby. Teacher digital competence as a challenge in virtual learning environments. Koinonía [online]. 2023, vol.8, suppl.2, pp.467-484.  Epub July 19, 2024. ISSN 2542-3088.  https://doi.org/10.35381/r.k.v8i2.2887.

The current research, based on teachers' digital competence as a challenge in virtual learning environments, aimed to determine the level of knowledge of teachers' digital competencies. Methodologically, the study was experimental, with a pre-experimental design, that is, it worked with a single group, to which a pre-test and a post-test on digital competencies were applied. The result obtained allowed detecting an improvement in the levels of digital competence; and by means of the T Student test, the null hypothesis was rejected by confirming that virtual environments do strengthen teachers' digital competence. In conclusion, it was stated that virtual environments constitute significant resources for the efficient performance of teachers in their pedagogical praxis.
