The objective of this article was to investigate the strategies used by teachers to strengthen mathematical thinking. Methodologically, a systematic review was carried out, where an exhaustive and methodical research was conducted, which was given through a Prisma diagram and an authorship table; also, the information was collected from different databases of indexed repositories, such as Scielo, Elsevier, Latindex and Redalyc, taking into consideration the language, country and years of antiquity. As a result, it was found that the strategies motivate students towards a renewed and harmonious learning process; for this, the teacher must take into account the characteristics of the students, such as age, abilities, pace and learning environment, as well as the appropriate pedagogical methods. Therefore, it is concluded that these factors influence the level of achievement and performance of each student.
