The objective of this research was to analyze ancestral medicine from the Andean cosmovision in the tourism development of the Salasaka parish, province of Tungurahua, Ecuador. As a methodology, a qualitative approach was used with an exploratory and descriptive scope through the application of a direct observation instrument and an interview with a Yachac woman. The results detailed the current situation of the parish in aspects such as: basic services, infrastructure and governance; in addition to determining the medicinal plants used in the rituals of the community, which resulted in an inventory. With this information, a proposal for a tourist route called "Jampi runa warmi" was drawn up, which included visits to the six sacred sites and a visit to the parish community. It was concluded that this proposal could have an impact on increasing the economic income of the sector, strengthening community tourism.

Keywords : Community tourism; medicinal plants; rituals; Salasaka; Yachac.
