The general objective was to determine the characterization of solid waste management in the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo, 2019. This research has been developed in a descriptive manner, with a non-experimental design. It has been determined that the Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo generates solid waste from the following services: Emergency, Operating Room, Surgery "A", Surgery "B", Medicine "A", Medicine "B", Medicine "C", ICU, Gynecology, Maternity, Pediatrics, Neonatology, Pathology, Psychiatry, Neonatology, External consultation, Emergency Laboratory, Blood Bank, X-Ray Pharmacy, outdoors, Administration, Laundry, CENEX, Medicine Physical, Laboratory, Vaccines, Nutrition, Laparoscopic Ambulatory Surgery, Integral Health Insurance System, sterilization, General Store, Pharmacy Store and maintenance.
