The present study focused on analyzing the relationship between digital competencies and the quality of writing a scientific article. A quantitative study with a quasi-experimental design was used, using a representative sample of 90 university students from different universities in the country. The participants were divided into two groups: the experimental group and the control group. Different metrics were implemented to evaluate the quality of the scientific articles produced by both groups, including structure, coherence, clarity, and adequacy to scientific writing standards. The results revealed a significant improvement in the quality of the scientific articles written by the experimental group compared to the control group. In conclusion, it was found that the development of specific digital competencies in the academic environment had a positive impact on the quality of scientific article writing.
