Abstract

In the field of education, management and leadership are essential elements linked to the achievement of quality in the educational and learning processes that take place in institutions. It is from this premise that this article is presented, framed to deploy processes of understanding around educational management as an essential element for teacher performance and student learning. Methodologically it corresponds to an interpretative research, so a qualitative design with a hermeneutic approach was assumed with which the discourses raised in the texts objects of interpretation were treated, being denoted as a form of documentary research. The results allow us to state that educational management and the style of managerial leadership focused on transformation are essential factors for teaching work in the different educational scenarios in favour of training and learning and to promote new ways of achieving a perspective of change and educational innovation.
