Students who set out to conduct qualitative research face challenges that sometimes seem unattainable. Thinking that the implementation of a qualitative study has been made possible, after posing the problem and defining a focal research question, the trainee researcher gathers data through a methodological design for further analysis. This reflective article provides valuable information on qualitative methodology at the stages of: presentation of results, data analysis and presentation of research findings. The consideration that is made is the result of the application of phenomenological studies in the area of educational sciences; experience that has gathered didactic elements of great value for the realization of this type of studies and that was recognized by Cátedra UNESCO Brazil and CREFAL within the best thesis with emphasis on the qualitative methods developed.
