The purpose of this article is to understand the meaning of spiritual intelligence (SI) in the praxis of citizenship competencies (CC) of students at all educational levels; it is based on a literature review of these variables. The methodology used for the review and research was focused on searching for published articles related to the study in indexed journals inside databases such as Scielo and Redalyc, considering an antiquity of no more than 20 years, in English or Spanish. In the reading of 20 selected articles, it was observed as a result that the meaning of SI does have a positive effect on the acquisition and/or improvement of skills in the praxis of CC; therefore, it is concluded that these aspects are linked to the academic performance of the students and with their development as a citizen.
