The rapid development of science has shown how, in recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has become one of the most innovative technologies of the present century. This is driven by the need to improve efficiency and productivity in various sectors, which, combined with automation, is transforming the economy and gaining ground, with applications in areas such as health, education, agriculture, manufacturing, and commerce. Therefore, this article aims to analyze the impact of AI on work automation in Mexico. To this end, a documentary bibliographic review was carried out as the main methodological resource. Consequently, the analysis of socioeconomic effects, affected sectors, challenges and obstacles, as well as regulatory and normative frameworks, allows for the identification of gaps and the proposal of solutions for the implementation of AI in work automation.
