This study examines the relationship between workforce competencies and economic indicators in a small agricultural enterprise (SME) in Sinaloa, Mexico, specializing in the export of cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and jalapeño peppers. Using a quantitative approach, the research evaluated workforce competencies in Management, Production, Commerce, and Support during the 2022-2024 period, correlating them with key indicators such as Net Margin, ROI, and Annual Growth. The results revealed significant correlations between workforce competencies and economic indicators ((r = 0.98) for Net Margin and ROI; (r = 0.99) for Annual Growth). Additionally, a sustained increase in the general competency level was observed, with a consistently rising annual weighted average across areas. The findings underscore the importance of workforce competencies as drivers of efficiency and sustainability in export-oriented agricultural SMEs. Future research with expanded sample sizes is recommended to further explore these dynamics.
