ACOSTA-DAVILA, Ángel Miguel; BECERRA-SAGUMA, Lisbeth Roxana  e  RECALDE-GRACEY, Andrés Enrique. Corruption of officials in latin american public administration: A systematic review. Koinonía [online]. 2025, vol.10, n.20, pp.288-310.  Epub 04-Jul-2025. ISSN 2542-3088.  https://doi.org/10.35381/r.k.v10i20.4757.

The objective of this study was to analyse the corruption of public officials in the Latin American public administration by means of a systematic review. A qualitative approach was adopted following the PRISMA guidelines, which allowed a detailed analysis of 20 articles indexed in internationally prestigious databases, such as Scielo and Scopus. The results showed that corruption has been a multidimensional problem deeply rooted in the political, social and economic structures of the region. The implementation of strategies has been fundamental to adopt comprehensive and structural approaches that include the strengthening of transparency, accountability and anti-corruption policies for the achievement of inclusive, equitable and representative institutions for the benefit of citizens. It was concluded that, with the implementation of structural reforms aimed at strengthening transparency, guaranteeing justice and expanding spaces for citizen participation, it has been possible to overcome the cycle of corruption in Peru.
