The general objective of the research was to analyze the impact of public speaking on citizenship skills and school coexistence. The method of this study was based on documentary and bibliographic research that included an analysis of peer-reviewed articles and institutional documents. This approach made it possible to establish a theoretical foundation on the subject studied. The analytical-synthetic method was also applied. It is concluded that the mastery of a wide vocabulary, an exact diction and a consistent gestural language not only gives the student intellectual solvency but also transmits an image of security that promotes leadership and democratic participation. It is necessary for institutions to leave behind punitive methods and create spaces for continuous dialogue, such as workshops and community forums, in which conflict resolution occurs through consensus and speech.
