The purpose of this research was to analyze field trips and the training of early childhood education teachers through experiences from Colombia. Methodologically, a study was carried out with a qualitative phenomenological approach, highlighting the interaction with five key informants, that is, a teacher with work experience, two in training, a psychologist and a manager, who provided information on field trips and teacher training. The techniques used were interviews and field notes. Both the semi-structured questionnaire and the notebooks were used as instruments. As a result, it was highlighted that field trips have constituted an innovative strategy capable of promoting comprehensive training. Therefore, it was concluded that, by linking theory with practice, teachers can play a fundamental role in early education.
