Abstract

JERVES-VIVAR, Juana Isabel  and  FLORES-IDROVO, Luis Manuel. Violation of sexual and reproductive integrity. Case: Shuar Community, Ecuador. Iustitia Socialis [online]. 2023, vol.8, n.15, pp.4-21.  Epub Aug 30, 2023. ISSN 2542-3371.  https://doi.org/10.35381/racji.v8i14.2569.

The general objective of the research was to legally analyze the violation of sexual and reproductive integrity. Case: Shuar Community, Ecuador. The study was based on a positivist paradigm, from a quantitative and descriptive perspective, complemented with a documentary design. For this purpose, norms, laws, refereed articles and theses were analyzed, which contributed to the formulation of the theoretical body and conclusions related to the proposed topic. It is concluded that, where the research was conducted, unfortunately the constitutional guarantees, the internal criminal legal system itself, and international treaties, simply do not exist for those who are vulnerable within the Shuar population.

Keywords : Criminal law; sexual abuse; ethnic group.
