The general objective of the research was to carry out a legal analysis of environmental legislation and natural resource use in the Bay of Chimbote, Peru. The quantitative method was used, which produces descriptive data, originating from data collection. In addition, the inductive-deductive method was applied. The analytical-synthetic method was also used. The use of these methods made it possible to analyze doctrines, legal documents, bibliography, which after the pertinent analysis, allowed the generation of significant criteria and contributions. In conclusion, the presence of a significant relationship (Rho=0.611; sig.=0.000<0.05) between environmental legislation and the use of marine resources in Chimbote Bay, 2023, was determined, expressing that MINAM is in charge of enforcing the application of environmental legislation and managing the country's marine resources, for which it is important that the agreements made are respected.
