Objective:
The general objective of the research was to describe alcohol consumption with the possibility of being a victim of physical violence in university students.
Method:
The method developed in this study was based on the quantitative perspective using the documentary-bibliographic typology. A questionnaire was applied to a sample of 129 students.
Results:
Alcohol consumption among university students is a factor that encourages actions that lead to acts of violence.
Conclusions:
College students frequently consume alcohol but less than half reported experiencing repeated physical violence while under the influence of alcohol by strangers and friends.
