Objective:

to analyze burnout syndrome and emotional exhaustion in nursing personnel.

Method:

Documentary review. Population of 15 scientific articles in databases: Scielo, PubMed, Latindex 2.0.

Results and conclusion:

The necessary and available means should be used to focus mainly on the management of stress factors and allow them to have greater resilience, psychological adaptability and emotional intelligence that allow them to better manage their emotions. Attention should also be focused on the work environment that allows staff to have greater security when performing their activities and provide them with the security of having the necessary support from the services and immediate bosses.
