Objective:
To determine the reliability of a guide for evaluating the development of clinical skills related potentially malignant oral lesions in Stomatology students.
Methods:
The study was conducted at the University of Medical Sciences of Guantanamo, involving a sample of 32 students and 17 experts, and was carried out in three phases: design and validation of the evaluation guide, pilot testing and reliability analysis.
Results:
The instrument was structured on a 100 points scale across 30 items. Experts rate all items between 4.2 to 5.0. The Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, based on item variances, was 0.87, while the item correlation matrix yielded a value of 0.94.
Conclusions:
The evaluation guide demonstrated adequate internal consistency and homogeneity, corroborating its reliability.
