Introduction:

The Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador in 2008 through the Official Registry approved the new Comprehensive Health Care Model (MAIS) where it stipulates that in order to reach a Unit of greater complexity such as 2nd and 3rd level hospitals, they must be evaluated by the general practitioner of the MSP 1st Level Unit. This attention must be provided through a quality and warmth service, providing the necessary trust so that the external user is guaranteed excellent attention, which is why with the help of direct observation and surveys the satisfaction of the users can be evaluated. users who attend the general consultation at the Las Piñas first level health unit.

Objective:

Describe the management of Health Care Quality.

Materials and methods:

This qualitative case study research was carried out and the objective was to develop an Improvement Plan for the quality-of-care services provided by the health unit. A survey was carried out with 60 internal and external users.

Results:

the majority of users demonstrate compliance with the medical care they receive from the professionals at the Health Unit and that improving the consultation spaces and hiring more professionals would help optimize the quality of care at the health center.

Conclusion:

The principles and foundations of the health care provided at the Las Piñas Type A Health Center require an exhaustive analysis and a plan to improve services based on new approaches to the Health Quality Management process. Medical attention.
