Introduction:

Government transparency and community participation are fundamental pillars for effective and democratic health management. However, their implementation faces structural, political, and sociocultural challenges that limit their real impact.

Objective:

To analyze the relationship between community participation and government transparency in the challenges of health management.

Materials and Methods:

A descriptive and qualitative methodology was used, based on a documentary review of 25 studies published in the last 10 years that address community participation and public transparency in the health sector.

Results:

The findings indicate that community participation contributes to reducing inequality in access to primary healthcare, thereby increasing beneficiary satisfaction. However, obstacles were identified, such as lack of resources and institutional resistance to the publication of official results, which limit the implementation of transparency policies.

Conclusion:

It is concluded that community participation and public transparency are essential for optimizing the allocation of government resources, improving accountability, and strengthening primary healthcare in an equitable and efficient manner.
