TOBAR MONROY, Tito Gabriel; GARCIA TOBAR, Ítalo Daniel e RONQUILLO ALVAREZ, Luz Marina. Audiovisual narrative applied to soundtracks of graphic adventure video games for blind people. Prohominum [online]. 2024, vol.6, n.2, pp.278-296. Epub 15-Dez-2024. ISSN 2665-0169. https://doi.org/10.47606/acven/ph0248.
This study focuses on the theoretical and conceptual exploration of soundtracks in graphic adventure video games specifically designed for visually impaired individuals. The research adopts a documentary review approach, analyzing a broad range of existing literature on audiovisual narratives and sound design, in order to understand how these tools can be adapted to create accessible and immersive gaming experiences without visual components. Narrative structures and sound design elements are examined, assessing the methods and techniques used to develop auditory environments that effectively convey the story and action of the game to visually impaired users. This approach not only broadens theoretical knowledge on the creation of accessible content but also provides practical recommendations for the development of future video games that are inclusive and offer a coherent and complete narrative experience.
