The integration of Information and Communication Technologies in child development has shown significant effects in various areas of cognitive and emotional development. This study evaluated a group of children aged 3 to 4 years, selected for their significant exposure to Information and Communication Technologies in their daily education, using the Mullen Scales of Early Learning adapted to include emotional development. The results indicated that exposure to Information and Communication Technologies favored above-average cognitive development in areas such as visual, motor, and linguistic skills. The children also showed improvements in the recognition and expression of emotions, and in social interactions, suggesting a strengthening of emotional intelligence. However, potential risks such as overexposure to screens and reduced physical playtime and social interaction were identified. To maximize the benefits of Information and Communication Technologies, it is recommended to implement pedagogical strategies integrated into the school curriculum, provide continuous training for teachers, and ensure active parent participation. Additionally, it is crucial to conduct periodic evaluations and longitudinal studies to monitor and adjust interventions.
