BALLENA ALCANTARA, Irene Marely; COLLANTES PALOMINO, Hugo Yvan; CARRASCO HUAMAN, Dilser Ivan  y  BOCANEGRA ANCAJIMA, Alonso Abedh. School violence in educational institutions: a bibliometric review. Prohominum [online]. 2025, vol.7, n.4, pp.104-117.  Epub 01-Dic-2025. ISSN 2665-0169.  https://doi.org/10.47606/acven/ph0386.

The aim of this study was to analyze the scientific output related to school violence within the educational context, as recorded in the Scopus database. A quantitative bibliometric methodology was adopted, enabling the identification of 63 documents published between 1995 and 2023. Network analysis highlighted central nodes associated with bullying, aggression, and group processes in school settings. The findings reveal that research has primarily focused on bullying, school shootings, and student victimization, contributing significantly to theoretical development and intervention proposals aimed at preventing school violence. A total of 169 authors were identified, with Dumitriu and Williams being the most prolific in this field. Notably, 58% of the analyzed works were published between 2019 and 2023, indicating a growing interest in the investigation of this topic.

Palabras clave : Bibliometrics; educational institutions; school violence.
