Education stands out as one of the main activities that generate the greatest interest in society, with the passage of time and continuous technological development, which implies that teachers must be trained for its integration into the teaching process, which derives in their learning. The research aimed to describe the relationship between the digital competence of teachers and the improvement of student learning; it was applied in a Telebachillerato school in Veracruz, Mexico. It was based on the deductive method and positivist paradigm, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental cross-sectional design, and correlational scope. The four teachers from the campus and 51 students participated. The data was collected through the Digital Competence questionnaire of University professors of the Faculty of Education Sciences, which was applied digitally, in addition to a documentary analysis of the student's grades. The results indicate that students whose teachers have a higher level of digital competence have better grades, with a correlation index (r= .893); this is because the teacher who uses a greater number of digital tools and prepares teaching material promotes the learning of their students, reflected in their academic performance, compared to the teacher who has less knowledge of the technology.
