Abstract

RAMIREZ-ROCHA, Andres Carlos. Education of Emotional Competencies for the Construction of a Culture of Peace. Revista Docentes 2.0 [online]. 2025, vol.18, n.1, pp.333-341.  Epub May 29, 2025. ISSN 2665-0266.  https://doi.org/10.37843/rted.v18i1.618.

The research analyzes key emotional competencies for fostering a culture of peace in Bolivia, addressing the rising issues of gender violence and school bullying. Using a qualitative approach and documentary method, secondary sources, including research and scientific articles, were reviewed. The findings highlight that emotional awareness, emotional regulation, emotional autonomy, social competence, and life skills are essential for promoting empathy, peaceful conflict resolution, and social cohesion. Emotional education, when integrated into the curriculum, enhances individual and collective well-being, reducing violence and fostering peaceful environments. It is recommended to implement teacher training programs and longitudinal studies to assess the impact of these competencies on conflict prevention.
