This article deals with the study of the use of Digital Educational Resources (RED) in relation to the pedagogical competencies of teachers in the teaching of the subject of history at the baccalaureate level. These teachers were immersed in a new teaching-learning model, due to the presence of virtuality (use of virtual environments) during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. The study was conducted with teachers and students of the bachelor's degree in science of the Unidad Educativa Fiscal Manta. The theoretical and empirical methods used allowed the authors to deepen the analysis of the techno-pedagogical competencies of this group of teachers, and their methodological weaknesses for teaching in virtual environments. The authors have carried out an analysis of the methodological use of RED in its relation to the pedagogical competencies of teachers in the context of education in virtual environments.
