The objective was to design a methodological strategy based on the use of digital resources for teaching History to high school students in Ecuador. A descriptive research methodology was used. Based on the use of digital resources in History, it is indicated that only 55% of students make little use of technological tools in the classroom for learning, therefore; it is evident that students of first year of high school do not make use of technological tools in the classroom. The need arises to include digital resources in the daily planning of the teacher of the subject of history, since it could be seen the little use of these resources, and for this purpose it should be considered to train teachers and students on digital tools with didactic approach, to develop digital skills that are feasible when used in the classroom.
