The research presents a quasi-experimental design that aims to determine how linguistic identity and prejudices are related to the learning of the Aymara language in students of a public institution in Tacna. The methodology used for data collection was through surveys. There was a population of 1300 secondary school students; and the sample consisted of 320 students, selected randomly and by strata. Among the most important results, it was found that there is a moderate inverse relationship between linguistic identity and prejudice towards learning the Aymara language, from which it can be deduced that there are students with a low level of Aymara linguistic identity and therefore a high level of prejudice towards learning the Aymara language.
