The objective established in the research was: to provide recommendations for the development of reading workshops, in-person and virtual, with the purpose of stimulating students to read different types of texts, taking into account the potential of the subjects Language and Literary Analysis, which contributes to their comprehensive training. To study the object, methods from the theoretical level were used: analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive and historical-logical and from and empirical: interview and survey. The results indicated insufficiencies in the reading habits of the students, who prefer to carry out other activities for which they feel more motivated or that they perceive as more immediate or rewarding; For this reason, reading workshops have been developed to stimulate them and bring them closer to different types of texts that expand their preparation. It was concluded that reading is an essential axis in an integrative training process because of what it contributes to the training of students.
