University excellence, oriented towards continuous improvement, must incorporate university social responsibility, because of its contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Therefore, it is essential to integrate these objectives into the quality management system of universities. Therefore, this article aims to analyze the challenges and prospects of integrating quality management and the SDGs in Latin American universities. In this sense, an exploratory, non-experimental and cross-sectional literature review is carried out, which concludes with the benefits and impacts of this integration for Latin American universities.
