The research is oriented to analyze Al-Farabi's conception of intellect: its anthropological, epistemological and metaphysical implications, it presents an approach to the study of the concept of “Intellect” of the Arab philosopher Al-Farabi. The approach was generated from the analytical perspective, complemented with a descriptive study, which allowed the description of the subject of study approached from a bibliographical approach, the content analysis method was used to organize the various category analyses. Understanding that the human being overcomes the matter-form duality means recognizing that perfect knowledge comes from a perfect essence, which actualizes the intelligible forms latent in the human intellect, pretending to reach an acquired knowledge thanks to the agent intellect.
