BARRERA-CORREA, Angie Carol e SORIANO-PAREDES, Emilio Alberto. Effectiveness of multimodal intervention in the optimization of executive functions in educational institutions. Episteme Koinonía [online]. 2025, vol.8, n.esp1, pp.250-274. Epub 20-Jun-2025. ISSN 2665-0282. https://doi.org/10.35381/e.k.v7i1.4427.
The purpose of the research was to reflect on the multimodal intervention in the optimization of executive functions in adolescent students of educational institutions in Victor Larco, 2024. A qualitative approach with a reflexive action research design was used. Key informants were 5 adolescent students selected by convenience, with a focus on their specific experiences and contexts. Results showed significant improvements in working memory, cognitive flexibility, inhibitory control, planning, monitoring, decision making and problem solving. These improvements were attributed to the integration of components that promoted changes in eating habits, mindfulness practices and emotional self-regulation strategies. In addition, the techniques implemented encouraged the active participation of parents, reinforcing the results in the family environment. It was concluded that the multimodal intervention enhanced the integral development of the students by synergistically addressing the cognitive and emotional dimensions.
