The main objective of the study was to determine to what extent the application of an environmental program based on naturalistic intelligence improves environmental awareness in university students in the city of Yurimaguas, during semester 2024-II. This is a quasi-experimental research, with a pre- and post-test design, applied to a sample of students of the Zootechnical career. The main results showed that the educational program had a significant impact on the cognitive, affective and active dimensions, improving knowledge, emotional attitudes and active participation of students in environmental issues. However, no significant change was observed in the conative dimension, related to intentions to act proactively. In conclusion, the educational program based on naturalistic intelligence may be effective in improving environmental awareness in university students, although it is recommended to include more practical activities to strengthen direct action in the face of environmental problems.
