GAMARRA-CARLOS, Juan Humberto; DURAN-LLARO, Kony Luby e MUCHA-HOSPINAL, Luis Florencio. Impact of motivational strategies on mathematical problem solving in elementary school. Episteme Koinonía [online]. 2025, vol.8, n.esp1, pp.402-423. Epub 20-Jun-2025. ISSN 2665-0282. https://doi.org/10.35381/e.k.v8i1.4479.
The main purpose of this research was to determine whether motivational strategies improve the problem-solving competence in quantity in elementary school students of an IE 2024. It was carried out within the framework of the quantitative paradigm and pre-experimental design, using a test as an instrument, which was submitted to the criteria of experts and the respective application of the pilot study. It was then applied to a non-random sample of 22 students. The results showed that the pre-test registered a mean of 40.0 points while the post-test registered a mean of 67.6 points, there being a mean difference of 27.6 points which was equivalent to an efficacy of 31.7% in favor of the post-test. These data demonstrated the efficacy of these strategies, contributing to improve the aforementioned competence. Likewise, the results ratified the general hypothesis, which obtained Z = -4.020 with p < 0.001.
