Resumen
VIGO-BORJAS, Rosa Cecilia. Cooperative games as a playful strategy for developing gross motor skills in early childhood education. Episteme Koinonía [online]. 2025, vol.8, n.esp2, pp.136-150. Epub 01-Ene-2026. ISSN 2665-0282. https://doi.org/10.35381/e.k.v8i2.4859.
The objective of this research was to analyze the benefits of cooperative games in the development of gross motor skills in early childhood education. The methodology used was a qualitative documentary approach, employing document review as a technique and record sheets as instruments. The PRISMA method was used to select the studies. The results showed that the relationship between cooperative games and the optimization of gross motor skills has not yet been fully investigated, with few longitudinal studies available. It was concluded that, despite the immediate benefits observed, it has also been necessary to explore how these games could be adapted to different cultural and socioeconomic contexts, in order to be inclusive for children with diverse motor skills.
