Higher education institutions are considered complex spaces that foster the development of critical thinking. In this educational context, strategic leadership is positioned as a key element in guiding institutions through an environment characterized by uncertainty and constant change. The accelerated transformation in higher education, coupled with increased requirements associated with educational quality, demands more flexible, innovative, and results-oriented academic management. This research aims to identify the challenges and opportunities offered by strategic leadership in university management as a way to structure effective strategies to consolidate quality in university processes. The research was conducted using a mixed, descriptive, and exploratory approach with a non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The challenges and opportunities identified and managed through strategic leadership allow for the consolidation of educational quality.
