This article focused on presenting a conceptual framework that integrates scientific rigor criteria with ethical principles within the interpretive research approach. To this end, a documentary study with an interpretive approach was developed using the hermeneutic method and the application of qualitative methodologies for the analytical processing of second-order data. Based on the results of the hermeneutic analysis, it is concluded that ethics and scientific rigor are essential to ensure validity and integrity in studies related to human and social phenomena. While ethics guide methodological decisions such as relevance and respect for the subjects and experiences studied, scientific rigor demands consistency, precision, and solid foundations in the research process. The integrated incorporation of these principles promotes more responsible research practices that enrich the knowledge produced in the socio-human sphere.
