The purpose of this study was to analyze iconography and Matsigenka weaving as a visual language from its theoretical foundations for intercultural arts education. Methodologically, the research was conducted using a qualitative documentary approach, employing systematic review and content analysis as techniques and as instruments, record sheets and analysis matrices. Similarly, the PRISMA statement was used for the careful selection of studies. The results revealed relevant aspects such as identity and cultural appreciation, the development of artistic skills, their integration into curriculum design, and cognitive development through the promotion of critical appreciation and creativity. Based on the above, it was concluded that Matsigenka iconography and weaving have been essential for achieving interdisciplinary learning, a decolonized curriculum, and an indigenous visual language to promote dialogue between cultures.
