Beekeeping, more than just an agricultural activity, is an essential practice for environmental sustainability and the local economy. Efficient management not only optimizes resources and improves profitability, but also guarantees the quality of products and the sustainability of the ecosystem. The objective of this research is to define the characteristics that configure the management models applied to this activity. In order to achieve this, a qualitative research is carried out with an exploratory and descriptive approach using interviews, documentary review, and observation of beekeeping practices in the province of Manabí and concludes with a proposal for a business management model applied to beekeeping.
