The present research work aims to evaluate the effect of nuclear trace densities produced by alpha emission on samples of caico-type ceramics inside the diffusion chamber. The research is descriptive, field and non-experimental. The sampling was non-probabilistic and intentional with twelve samples of caico type ceramics of different models. An integrated method of solid detectors of nuclear traces of the LR115 type, chemically treated, was applied to determine, with the aid of an optical microscope, the quantity of traces impacted on the film. It was obtained that the nuclear trace density values are between 5.59Traz.cm-2and 1.35Traz.cm-2. Therefore, it is important to be aware of which building materials could cause an increase in indoor radon concentration, and if necessary limit their use.
