The objective of this article is to present the state of the art according to the trends and diagnoses regarding inclusive education, in addition to motivating new challenges in pedagogy under a comprehensive context. A qualitative analysis was developed, supported by a systematic review of the literature, selecting for this purpose 30 scientific-level documents in a period spanning from 2019 to 2024 and other articles and/or studies from previous years taken into account for their relevance in the present study. It is concluded that inclusive education is a right and a challenge on an international level and that educational institutions can offer a space with a diversity of methods, according to the specific needs they contribute to school contexts. The appreciation of culture and positive attitudes reinforce and strengthen inclusive education.
