RELATIONAL TREATMENT BETWEEN STUDENTS AND TEACHERS BASED ON “BEING AND COEXISTENCE”. Aula Virtual [online]. 2024, vol.5, n.12, e362.  Epub Dec 27, 2024. Relational treatment is defined as the result of interdependent events that occur between students and teachers, mediated by intentionality with sui generis meanings. The objective was to understand the relational treatment between teachers and students in two universities in Ecuador, qualitative research using hermeneutic interpretation. A semi-structured interview was conducted with 36 informants, of which 24 are students and twelve teachers. Two categories were considered: The Being that is learning and Coexistence in learning environments; and five subcategories. It is concluded that the teacher's mission is to accompany the student in his formal process of reaching his potential, where the quality of the relational treatment is vital and is mediated by intersubjectivity in which the student emerges the need for his emotions and feelings to be considered. learning is encouraged; The experiences depend a lot on the way the teacher interacts with the student, although he also recognizes its weaknesses. Teachers also consider that the relationship is defined by the students' commitment to meeting academic demands, promoting confidence, autonomy and the search for new teaching-learning approaches.
