SURI QUISPE, Rimberti Eddy y ROJAS PAUCA, Williams. READING COMPREHENSION AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS OF A SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION OF APURIMAC. Aula Virtual [online]. 2024, vol.5, n.12, e379. Epub 27-Dic-2024. ISSN 2665-0398. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14017626.
This work aims to corroborate the existence of a relationship between reading comprehension (and its dimensions) and communication skills in secondary school students. To this end, 93 subjects belonging to the 5 years of secondary education were surveyed; A questionnaire was used for each variable. The results reveal a predominance of the high level of communication skills (51.61%), as well as a higher proportion of individuals (54.84%) with expected achievements in the Reading Comprehension variable. No significant differences (p>0.05) were reported between sexes or between groups for the study variables and their dimensions. Inferential statistics allow us to affirm that both the variable Reading Comprehension (X) and all its dimensions exert a significant influence (p<0.05) on Communication Skills.
