Abstract

This review article aims to describe and analyze the documents that address strategies to develop the quantity problem-solving competence, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Education, Peru (MINEDU). The methodology was carried out an exhaustive search was carried out in databases published from 2016 to 2024. A total of 80 sources of information from academic repositories were collected, of which 13 were selected that were especially focused on the quantity problem-solving competence. The review was carried out with a qualitative approach, a data collection form and a table were used to organize the selected articles. In the results the findings indicate that there is little research focused on the strategies of the quantity problem-solving competence. Most of the publications that were reviewed are focused on other mathematical competences, a situation that highlights a gap in research in this field. And as conclusions to encourage further research on quantity problem-solving skills and their associated dimensions, in order to deepen the understanding and application of this skill in the educational environment.
