The increasing digitalization of education in Latin America has presented challenges and opportunities for promoting University Social Responsibility (USR). This article aims to systematically analyze the existing literature on the effectiveness of technological platforms in fostering USR in Virtual Education (VE), identifying trends, evaluation metrics, and success stories. A systematic review was conducted, gathering and analyzing recent studies from databases such as Scielo, Scopus, and WOS. The findings reveal widespread use of tools like Zoom and Google Meet, as well as the development of digital competencies among students, although the direct connection to USR remains limited. Evaluation metrics include psychometric models and user perceptions, but gaps in the longitudinal analysis of social impact are evident. Additionally, success stories demonstrate how platforms have optimized educational processes and promoted social inclusion. In conclusion, while technological platforms are essential for VE, further research is needed to establish clear links between these tools and the promotion of USR, potentially contributing to a more significant social impact.
