Restorative Justice (RJ) in Latin America faces significant challenges that impact the inclusion of victims in reparation and reconciliation processes. This study aims to identify the barriers and facilitators that influence this inclusion, exploring how social, cultural, and normative dynamics shape victims' experiences. A systematic literature review was conducted using the PRISMA methodology (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses), analyzing recent studies addressing these issues. The results indicate that the main barriers include the lack of visibility and public awareness, the traditional retributive approach, and gender inequalities. Meanwhile, the identified facilitators encompass the training of facilitators, the creation of inclusive dialogue spaces, and community support. These findings highlight the importance of a comprehensive approach that considers the diverse realities of victims and promotes their active participation in RJ processes. The research concludes that improving the effectiveness of RJ requires addressing both barriers and facilitators, thereby ensuring comprehensive and equitable reparation for victims in the region. This study provides a valuable framework for future research and policies in the field of RJ.
